What stablecoin minting and burning is
A fiat-backed stablecoin is minted when its issuer receives fiat money and creates the same value in new tokens, one for one. Redemption is the reverse: tokens go back to the issuer, are burned, and fiat is paid out. Minting and redeeming at the issuer avoids the spread and depth limits of buying stablecoins on an exchange, which matters once volumes grow.

Frequently asked questions
What is stablecoin minting?
Minting is the creation of new stablecoins by their issuer against fiat received one for one. Redemption burns the tokens and pays the fiat back out.
Which stablecoins can I mint and redeem with JET?
Five today: USDC and EURC (Circle), USDG and PYUSD (Paxos), and USDT (Tether) for higher volumes.
How do I redeem USDC to USD or EUR?
Send the USDC to your JET account and choose redemption: the tokens go back to the issuer, are burned, and JET pays out US dollars or euros to your bank account or JET virtual IBAN. The same works for USDT, USDG, PYUSD and, into euros, EURC.
How do I mint USDC?
Open a JET account, pay in USD or EUR (or any of 55+ currencies) and choose USDC: JET has the USDC minted by Circle one for one and credits it to your JET account or your own wallet. Redeeming works the same way in reverse.
How do I mint USDT?
Through the same JET onboarding: pay in USD, EUR or another supported currency and choose USDT. JET offers USDT (Tether) for higher volumes and redeems it back to fiat the same way.
Can I mint USDT or USDC from euros or another local currency?
Yes. Pay in EUR, or any of 55+ currencies through JET's local rails, and JET converts at the best available rate and delivers the stablecoin. EURC can be minted directly from euros.
What is the USDC minting fee with JET?
Indicatively 0.05% from USD on every stablecoin and 0.08% from EUR, higher from other currencies depending on the corridor. There is no required volume minimum and no minimum fee.
Do I need a separate account with each issuer?
No. JET Issuer Access is one onboarding; adding another issuer does not need a new compliance review on your side.
